EndocrineSurgeon.co.uk was the idea of Mr John Lynn MS FRCS and after considerable discussion was put together by a group of expert consultants working in the NHS and private sectors in the United Kingdom. Their yearly experience is the largest in the UK and they treat patients from all quarters of the world. They have experience unrivalled in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and have trained a large number of endocrine surgeons world wide. They have at their Bupa Cromwell Hospital Endocrine Surgical Centre equipment,technology and staff unique in the United Kingdom.

Mr John Lynn has personally more than 30 years experience in the field of specialist endocrine surgery and has performed over nine thousand neck explorations. Unlike other surgeons Mr John Lynn is not a general surgeon but specialises purely in endocrine surgery. Having ones parathyroid or thyroid gland explored by a surgeon who spends most of his or her time repairing hernias or removing gallbladders is most likely quite safe but in Mr Lynn's view not ideal!

The team's experience has been used to design the EndocrineSurgeon.co.uk website, which covers the entire fields of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pancreatic endocrine surgery. There are also sections on endocrine anaesthesia and surgery of the pituitary gland.
