Is there any special anaesthetic management for patients with Insulinomas?

Many of these patients are often obese and hypertensive. Anaesthetic management includes a generous pre-medication as these patients are often very anxious. Intravenous glucose (100g) and Potassium (20mmol/L) is started at least 6 hours before induction and continued throughout surgery. Glucose must be at hand at the time of tumour manipulation.
