Treatment of Peyronie's disease

Peyronie's disease is a disease characterised by the presence of fibrous plaques within the shaft of the penis. It was first described by Francois Gigot de La Peyronie in 1743.

These plaques give rise to deviation and angulation of the erect penis. The cause of the disease is not fully understood, but it is thought to be multifactorial.
